Here I Go!!!

I'm so excited!!  I was Spotted by Simon Says Stamp!!

This was one of my favorite cards to make so far!!  I used Copic markers to color these adorable little animals and I used distress inks and a stencil to do the background.  I made this card a few months ago, but I just recently uploaded the video tutorial on my YouTube channel and I got excited all over again.  The stamp set I used was Stacking Animals by Simon Says Stamp.  The stencil is from Winnie & Walter called "Scenery: Pattern Of The Rings".  I also used Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods for the "smile" bubble.  If you want to see a step by step tutorial, please check out my youtube channel here.

I'm not quite sure how to do this yet, but I'd like to include links to all the products I used, like I do on my youtube videos.  So if anyone is out there reading this and knows a simple way to list links to all the products used, please feel free to share that tid bit with me.  Now back to my card.  Aren't these little animals just so darn cute?!?

Like I said, I used Copic markers to color the animals.  I've listed all the colors on my YouTube channel and will add them here as soon as I find out how...

I used Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord for the background.

And then I heat embossed the "Smile" bubble.  And that's pretty much it!

Ok, I'm going to hit Publish now for the very first time so cross your fingers!!!
I hope to have visitors soon!!  Wish me luck...

Misty

  11. Hi, Misty. I also came from Michele's blog. I have had the honor of actually meeting and crafting with her and I love her, too. It's hard to believe that this is your first post but you must have had an outlet somewhere because 'you were spotted' and you're already doing tutorials. Your coloring is fabulous and the card is darling. I'm sure you'll go far in this community of supportive, like-minded crafters.

    1. Hi Bobby!! Thank you so much for your kind words!! Oh how fun to craft with someone else!! I would love to do that someday, it just sounds like it would be a blast.. I've been making cards for a little over a year now and before that, I've never really done anything crafty. It seems so weird to me now, that I've never been crafty but I really enjoy the video editing part of my videos. Is that weird? Anyway, thanks again Bobby for your kind words. And thank you for checking out my new blog!!

  13. Oh, I just realized that I didn't offer you some info about sharing links to your supplies...You can type in the name of the product at the end of your post (or in the body of your description) the same way you added your You Tube channel. Or...you can get Inlinkz which costs $4.99/month. If you're going to do that, wait until you get the hang of blogging first, and I would be happy to help you get it set up. Just let me know if I can help in any way ~ Barb

    1. I think I understand. I kinda did it in my next post. I do like the idea of the Inlinkz but not sure it's worth paying for it each month. Maybe if I was making money off my blog. I guess I'll just wait and see where I go with this. Thank you Barb!! I will for sure take you up on your offer if I decide to go that route..
